Creating Snippets

The Content Managers can encourage microlearning by posting short learning items as an article/video url which may be useful for the learners. These learning items can be referred to as Snippets. The Snippets can be retained in a repository and the learners can use it for future reference.

Adding a Snippet

Click on the Manage tab and the Snippets option to view the snippets created. You can view the snippet description, who shared the snippet, the date it was shared, the last modified, the number of learners who found it helpful, the number of learners who reported, and various actions that can be performed. Searching for a snippet from the list of snippets displayed is also possible.

  • Click on the Create snippet button to create a new snippet. 
  • In the ‘Create snippet’ page, enter the snippet description, upload images or videos, tags related to the snippet and select the group/subgroup who can access the snippet.
  • Click on the Share button to save the snippet.

Note: 

  • Snippets added will be available for all the learners of the selected group/sub group.
  • Either an image/video can be uploaded at a time.
  • The video that can be uploaded should be less than 100 MB.

  • A message appears where you may click on the Yes button to save this snippet. 
  • The snippets created will be displayed in the Snippets page of the users of the group/sub group you have shared.

  • Click on the text box to open the Create Snippet pop-up.

  • In the ‘Create snippet’ page, enter the snippet description, upload images or videos, tags related to the snippet and select the group/subgroup who can access the snippet.
  • Click on the Share button to share the snippet. On clicking, a confirmation message appears, where you may click on the Yes button to share the snippet with the group/sub group.

Note: 

  • The users of the group/sub group can view the snippet in the Learning home and Manage > Snippets page.
  • Either an image/video can be uploaded at a time.
  • The video that can be uploaded should be less than 100 MB.

  • Click on the View icon against the respective snippet to view the snippet.

Editing the snippet

  • Click the Edit icon against the respective snippet to edit the snippet details. 
  • You can edit the snippet description, upload the images/videos, tags related to the snippet and the groups/subgroups to which the snippet is shared.

Deleting the snippet

  • Click on the Delete icon against the respective snippet to delete the snippet.
